Understanding the Importance of Deposits
At HOPE INk, we strive for a professional and respectful relationship between our artists and clients. Securing a tattoo appointment involves significant preparation by your artist, often including 1-3 hours of design and setup work before your scheduled time. To honor this commitment and ensure a smooth process for everyone, a deposit is required.
We understand there can sometimes be uncertainty in today's world. However, experience shows that a deposit fosters mutual commitment. It signals to the artist that a client is serious about their appointment and values the artist's time and creative investment. Industry data consistently shows that requiring a deposit dramatically reduces the likelihood of last-minute cancellations or no-shows, allowing us to maintain a reliable schedule. This policy helps ensure that our artists' preparation time is respected and compensated, even in the face of unforeseen schedule changes.
Deposit Requirements
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your tattoo appointment date and time.
The deposit amount is 25% of the estimated total cost of your tattoo.
This deposit confirms your commitment and will be deducted from the final price of your tattoo upon completion.
Pricing, Minimums, and Payment
Our standard shop minimum for any tattoo service is $80.
During officially advertised special promotions, the shop minimum may be temporarily reduced by 20% to 50%. The specific discounted minimum will be clearly stated in the promotional materials.
The estimated cost of your tattoo is based on the anticipated time required. Payment for the tattoo service itself begins only after the stencil or pattern has been successfully applied to your skin. The initial setup and preparation are complimentary.
If your tattoo session extends beyond the initially estimated time, the additional time will be calculated at the artist's standard hourly rate and added to your final price. Your artist will communicate any potential need for extended time during the session.
Rescheduling, Cancellation, and Late Arrival Policy
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. Clients are permitted to reschedule their appointment ONCE with at least 48 hours' notice prior to the scheduled time.
If an appointment is rescheduled with the required 48-hour notice, your deposit will be transferred to the new appointment time.
Failure to provide at least 48 hours' notice for rescheduling, or cancelling the appointment, will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
In the event of a no-show (failing to arrive for your appointment without any prior notice), the deposit is non-refundable.
Arriving more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment may result in the forfeiture of your deposit and cancellation of the appointment, depending on the artist's schedule and ability to accommodate the delay. Please contact the shop as soon as possible if you anticipate being late.
Acknowledgement
By booking an appointment and paying the required deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Deposit and Pricing Policies. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to creating amazing art with you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask a member of our team.
